LAV-25

The latest addition to support the USMC. A LAV-25 (LAV=Light Armoured Vehicle)*

*For a long time I thought it stood for Light Amphibious Vehicle

1/72nd scale Trumpter kit. Stowage is from Black Dog, CMK, 20mm Zone and home made.

That's it for now more to follow....

  3. Superb painting Mark and the extra stowage is the icing on the cake. I have one of these in 28mm from Empress Miniatures that I need to paint up but I guess I will have to do mine in a desert colour for Afghanistan which is a shame as I love the colour scheme that you have done on this model. Unless of course I buy some of the new Russians that Empress have just released.

    1. Thanks Pat. I think buy some of those new modern Russians!:). In Ospreys guide on the LAV there is a photo of a LAV-25 in Afghanistan in 2002 in the NATO 3 colour scheme. I also have one in 28mm from Imprint before Empress took over. But then 20mm became my love. One day I will build the 28mm kit just for the hell of it!

    2. Thanks for the info Mark. So I could possibly go with the NATO colour scheme then and cover all angles.
